MANSORY Soft Kit for the Ferrari F8 Tributo / F8 Spider — the reversible carbon programme on the last pure-ICE mid-engine V8 Ferrari

The Ferrari F8 Tributo launched in 2019 as Maranello's direct successor to the 488 GTB / 488 Pista mid-engine V8 line, and finished production in 2022 when the 296 GTB arrived and took the mid-engine slot into a plug-in-hybrid V6 era. That makes the F8 the last series-production Ferrari to carry a pure-ICE twin-turbo V8 in the mid-engine slot — the F154CE is the final uprated evolution of the F154 V8 family that powered the 488 line, and no future mid-engine Ferrari V8 is announced. Mansory's F8 programme is positioned specifically against that context. It is offered as a Soft Kit tier — a fully reversible bolt-on carbon overlay rather than a full bumper-swap conversion — to keep the F8 eligible for collector-grade disposition at the end of its ownership cycle. The Soft Kit ethos lets F8 owners run a Mansory carbon programme through active use, then return the car to factory appearance under a single shop day when the car goes to auction or to a Ferrari Classiche programme.

Why Mansory offered the F8 at Soft Kit tier specifically

The F8 occupies a Ferrari ownership demographic that overlaps with collector-market buyers more than any other recent mid-engine V8. 488 Pistas are already clearing auction blocks at well above MSRP; F8 Tributo values have softened below list but the F8 Tributo Spider has stabilised and shows the early collector pattern. Mansory's Soft Kit tier was designed to preserve future collector disposition — no factory panel replacement, no bumper swap, no structural modification. Every Mansory carbon part is bolt-on over preserved factory bodywork and is removable without a trace. This tier ships across the mid-engine Ferrari line where the collector-disposition concern matters most: the MC20 Soft Kit (Maserati mid-engine) uses the same ethos, and the Roma Soft Kit carries it to the front-engine grand-tourer Ferrari line.

Soft Kit parts — the published catalogue

  • Front bumper lip — carbon bolt-on below the factory F8 front bumper lower edge, preserving the factory S-Duct airflow
  • Front splitter — under-tray extension below the front lip
  • Headlight carbon overlays — at the upper-corner LED housing
  • Carbon side blade — the F8's signature side-air-intake blade in visible dry carbon (the most commissioned single Soft Kit part on the F8 — it sits at eye level and visually defines the car)
  • Side skirt lips — below the factory rocker panel
  • Rear diffuser surround — carbon bezel around the factory diffuser fins (the factory diffuser geometry is preserved)
  • Rear-deck louvre strip — carbon Lexan louvres over the F8's visual rear-deck window (recalling the F40 and the 360 Challenge Stradale lineage)
  • Carbon engine cover — bolt-on cover over the factory engine-bay glass, optional
  • Mirror caps — dry carbon pair
  • Outer door handle inserts — carbon trim (optional)
  • Rear fender air intake overlay — carbon bezel at the rear-fender scoop feeding the F154CE intercooler

Material: dry carbon on the side blade, rear-deck louvre strip, mirror caps and rear-fender intake overlay; PU-RIM with visible carbon weave on the front lip, side skirt lips and rear diffuser surround (dry-carbon upgrade available on all line items). Install runs two to three shop days — the fastest Mansory Ferrari commission in the current catalogue. De-install under a single shop day with no residue on factory bodywork.

F8 Spider — same Soft Kit, retractable-hard-top preserved

The F8 Spider (launched 2020, production 2020–2022) uses the same retractable-hard-top (RHT) folding-roof mechanism introduced on the 458 Spider — a two-piece aluminium roof that folds in 14 seconds. The F8 Spider carries factory-identical front bumper, side blade and front-fender geometry to the coupé; the rear deck differs to accommodate the RHT stack, but the Mansory rear-deck louvre strip and the rear diffuser surround have been dimensioned against the F8 Spider rear-deck in addition to the coupé. The same Soft Kit fits both F8 Tributo and F8 Spider without SKU split. Spider commissions confirm the roof-cycle timing (14 s factory) and the factory mid-speed roof-articulation lockout are preserved.

F154CE V8 — what the kit doesn't touch, and what the catalogue offers separately

The F8 runs the F154CE evolution of the F154 twin-turbo V8: 3.9 litres, flat-plane crank, 720 hp at 8,000 rpm, 770 Nm at 3,250 rpm, 7,500 rpm redline (lower than the NA 458's 9,000 rpm but with the twin-turbo torque shelf). The F154CE carries the 488 Pista's intake manifold geometry, revised turbochargers and revised exhaust manifold. The Soft Kit is bodywork only — no powertrain modification. A Mansory F154CE stage-1 tune is available in the workshop catalogue as a separate SKU and pushes output to approximately 800 hp / 850 Nm; it is TÜV-certifiable on request for EU-market commissions. A Mansory sport exhaust is also available and is commissioned on approximately 40% of F8 orders.

Factory Side-Slip Control (SSC 6.1), factory E-Diff 3, factory magnetorheological dampers (SCM-E Frs) and factory carbon-ceramic brakes are all preserved at factory function. The F8's factory adjustable aerodynamic elements — the active rear diffuser and the S-Duct front aperture — continue at factory geometry with the Mansory Soft Kit installed.

Wheels — 20"/21" forged on the Ferrari 5×114.3 PCD

Factory F8 ships on 20" wheels (20" front, 20" rear). Mansory's forged wheel offering for the F8 covers 20" (factory-matched) and 21" (visual-presence uplift). The factory 20" fitment is recommended for owners who intend to track-use the F8 (the factory chassis was calibrated for 20" tyre aspect ratios and 21" meaningfully stiffens the ride at racetrack load), and the 21" is the street-use commission choice. Tyre compounds: Pirelli P Zero Corsa (PZ4C) or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2. Full forged-wheel range at Hodoor forged wheels.

Geography — the mid-engine-Ferrari collector corridor

The F8's Mansory commission book concentrates in markets where the Soft Kit's reversibility ethos matters most — collector-adjacent F8 owners who specifically choose Mansory over a fixed-modification tuner because the programme is removable. Four clusters dominate:

Italy (home market). Italian F8 commissions cluster around Milan, Rome, Modena and Turin. The Modena cluster specifically is close-knit with the Maranello factory and Italian commissions weight heavily toward full-spec Soft Kit with the side blade, rear-deck louvre strip and the rear-fender intake overlay — the visual parts that play well against the F8's body line without touching the collector-grade factory panels. Spider commissions dominate Italian summer-season orders.

Southern Europe Mediterranean (Monaco / Côte d'Azur / Marbella / Balearics / Mykonos). Monaco carries the highest per-capita F8 Spider Mansory commission density anywhere in the book. The Côte d'Azur corridor (Nice / Cannes / Saint-Tropez) and Marbella both run F8 Spider with 21" forged and the full visual Soft Kit tier. Greek-island and Balearic commissions are season-bracketed (April through October). The Mediterranean summer corridor is where the F8 Spider's open-top use case matters most.

US corridors — SoCal and South Florida. California (LA / Beverly Hills / Newport Beach / Palm Springs) runs the F8 as a year-round mid-engine daily; US F8 commissions skew toward Spider variants with the aggressive sport exhaust and 21" forged. South Florida (Miami / Palm Beach / Key Biscayne) runs Spider commissions through the November-to-May season at high volume. China runs a steady F8 Tributo order flow weighted heavily toward restrained Soft Kit spec with retained factory paint.

Gulf winter-garage cluster. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait. Gulf F8 commissions weight toward Tributo coupé rather than Spider — the heat regime across April-October makes the open-top impractical — and toward full-aggressive Soft Kit with the stage-1 tune and the sport exhaust. Russia / CIS orders route through the Tsar programme. RHD markets — UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan — carry thin but steady F8 Soft Kit orders.

Sister Mansory Ferrari builds

The F8 Soft Kit sits within the Mansory Ferrari stack alongside the F8 full-conversion kit (the non-Soft-Kit F8 programme for owners who want the full bumper-swap rather than reversible overlays), the 296 GTB (the PHEV V6 successor to the F8 in Ferrari's line), the SF90 Stradale (PHEV V8 flagship), the 812 Superfast Stallone, the 812 Stallone GTS, the Purosangue Pugnator, the Roma and the Roma Soft Kit. F8 Soft Kit commissions into households that already run an 488 Siracusa 4XX build commonly specify matched weave spec — the 488-to-F8 generational transition is a common trade-up pattern in the Mansory Ferrari book.

FAQ

Is the Soft Kit fully reversible?
Yes. Every Soft Kit part is bolt-on over preserved factory bodywork. De-install under a single shop day returns the F8 to full factory appearance. No panel replacement, no bumper swap, no structural modification. This is the decisive reason F8 owners specify Soft Kit — the programme preserves future collector-market disposition and Ferrari Classiche certification paths.

Does the kit fit both F8 Tributo coupé and F8 Spider?
Yes. Front bumper, side blade, side skirt, rear diffuser surround, rear-fender intake and mirror caps are common across both body styles. The rear-deck louvre strip and the engine cover are dimensioned against both the coupé rear-deck glass and the Spider rear-deck RHT geometry. Spider commissions confirm the factory 14-second roof-cycle timing is preserved.

Is the F8 Tributo's S-Duct front airflow preserved with the Mansory front lip?
Yes. The Mansory front lip sits below the factory bumper lower edge and does not intersect the S-Duct aperture on the upper front bumper face. The factory S-Duct continues to route air over the bonnet and into the rear-deck active diffuser at factory geometry.

Does the F154CE accept a Mansory stage-1 tune?
Yes. Mansory's F154CE stage-1 adds approximately 80 hp and 80 Nm to the factory output (roughly 800 hp / 850 Nm) and retains factory drivability calibration. TÜV certification is available for EU-market commissions. Stage-1 does not affect factory carbon-ceramic brake spec or SSC 6.1 stability-control calibration.

Are Mansory parts accepted for Ferrari Classiche certification?
Ferrari Classiche certifies specific vehicle configurations and the factory-original configuration. Soft Kit installation does not invalidate a future Classiche application because the kit is reversible to factory state. Owners considering a future Classiche application should de-install the Soft Kit before the certification visit; the factory-original bodywork is preserved underneath unchanged.

Why is the Soft Kit tier offered only on F8, MC20 and Roma rather than 812 or Purosangue?
The Soft Kit ethos matches donors with an active collector-market pathway: reversibility protects collector disposition. The 812 Stallone, the Purosangue Pugnator and the SF90 Stradale are offered as full-conversion programmes because the Mansory buyer profile on those donors prioritises full visual transformation over collector-market reversibility. F8, MC20 and Roma all have cleaner collector-market trajectories where the reversibility preservation pays off.
