The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé C167 launched in 2019 as the second generation of the fastback SUV-coupé line that started with the C292 (first-generation GLE Coupé, 2015-2019, originally sold as M-Class Coupé MLC292). The C167 moved to the MHA (Modular High Architecture) platform shared with the contemporary GLE SUV — the same architecture that carries the GLS X167 and the GLE-generation EQC. The body style sits directly against the BMW X6, the Porsche Cayenne Coupé and the Audi Q8 / RSQ8. The Mansory programme is dimensioned against all C167 trims from the base GLE 350d through the AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ flagship (M177 4.0 V8 biturbo + EQ Boost 48 V, 612 hp / 850 Nm), with single-SKU kit compatibility across the donor range.
The GLE Coupé C167 is the only dedicated fastback SUV-coupé in the Mansory Mercedes line. The G-Class W463A is boxy body-on-frame, the GLE V167 is traditional SUV tail, the GLS X167 is full-size three-row SUV. Among competitors the body-style match is the Cayenne Coupé 9Y3, the Audi Q8 / RSQ8 (coupé-influenced but not strictly fastback) and the BMW X6. Within the Mansory buyer profile the GLE Coupé commission book overlaps heavily with the AMG GT 4-door and Cayenne Coupé books — buyers specifying a sedan-adjacent coupé silhouette with SUV packaging. The Mansory kit is designed to push the fastback SUV-coupé visual further — wide-body fender flares adding +70 mm total track width, aggressive front bumper and rear diffuser, and a roof spoiler aft of the C-pillar that extends the fastback line toward the rear lip.
Material: PU-RIM with visible carbon weave as standard; full dry-carbon upgrade available. Install runs six to seven shop days (wide-body flare commissions add two shop days for paint-match and panel alignment).
The C167 donor line covers a wide spread: GLE 350d / 400d (3.0 diesel, OM656 inline-6, 272-330 hp), GLE 450 4MATIC (3.0 inline-6 M256 with EQ Boost 48 V mild-hybrid, 367 hp), GLE 53 4MATIC+ AMG (M256 uprated to 435 hp / 520 Nm with EQ Boost), and AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ (M177 4.0-litre biturbo V8 with EQ Boost 48 V, 612 hp / 850 Nm, 0-100 km/h 3.8 s, top 250 km/h / 280 km/h with AMG Driver's Package). The Mansory body programme fits all donor engines. Mansory M177 stage-1 tune is available as a separate workshop SKU for GLE 63 S commissions and raises output to approximately 700 hp / 950 Nm. Stage-1 preserves factory 9G-TRONIC transmission calibration and factory 4MATIC+ fully variable torque distribution.
Factory GLE Coupé ships on 20" (base) through 22" (AMG Line / AMG GLE 63 S factory). Mansory's forged wheel offering extends to 23" as standard commission choice, with 24" available on request (the wide-body fender flares accommodate 24" without wheelarch rubbing at factory air-spring ride height). Tyre spec: Continental SportContact, Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV, Pirelli P Zero. AMG GLE 63 S commissions weight toward Pirelli P Zero for summer-specification tyre. Full range at Hodoor forged wheels.
The GLE Coupé Mansory commission book tracks global premium-SUV use with minimal climate bracketing — the closed-roof SUV body style eliminates the open-top seasonal constraint that limits the Dawn and Portofino:
Gulf corridor. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait. AMG GLE 63 S wide-body with 23" / 24" forged dominates. Typical Gulf commission: full wide-body with fender flares, dry-carbon spec, stage-1 tune, sport exhaust. Urus / Cayenne Coupé sister commissions common in same garage.
European premium markets. Germany (Stuttgart home-market overlap, Munich, Düsseldorf, Berlin), Switzerland (Zurich, Zug), Austria (Vienna), France (Paris), Italy (Milan, Rome). German commissions skew toward Mansory TÜV-certified scope — the Mansory GLE Coupé wide-body is pre-certified for German single-vehicle acceptance. UK (London, Surrey, Cheshire) commissions spread evenly across GLE 53 and GLE 63 S donors.
USA — LA / Miami / NYC. USA commissions concentrate in LA / Beverly Hills, Miami / Palm Beach and NYC-metro. US commissions tend to specify GLE 63 S with full wide-body and stage-1; US buyers lean into the aggressive visual of the widened track more than European buyers.
Asia — China (Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen), Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Thailand. Chinese commissions weight toward visible-weave spec with factory AMG GLE 63 S exhaust retained (rather than Mansory aftermarket). Russia / CIS runs through Tsar programme.
The GLE Coupé C167 sits alongside the GLE V167 SUV, the GLS X167 full-size three-row, the GLS AMG63 X167, the G-Class W463A line (Gronos, Viva, W465 Gronos) and the AMG GT 4-door.
Full GLE Coupé C167 wide-body kit: six to seven weeks from the workshop. Dry-carbon upgrade: adds two weeks. M177 stage-1 tune (GLE 63 S only): two weeks. 22"-24" forged wheel set: four weeks. Email [email protected] with your VIN, the GLE Coupé trim (GLE 350d / 400d / 450 / 53 AMG / 63 S AMG), the kit scope (full wide-body / narrow-body), material tier, wheel size, tune preference and OEM Mercedes paint code.
Does the kit fit all C167 engine variants from GLE 350d to AMG GLE 63 S?
Yes. Front bumper, bonnet, skirts, rear diffuser and fender flares are geometrically common across the entire C167 donor range. The AMG-specific front bumper geometry is compensated in the Mansory tooling — AMG Line and AMG GLE 63 S both carry the same front-end air-intake layout behind the factory cosmetic differences.
Is the 48V EQ Boost system affected?
No. The Mansory kit is bodywork only and does not interact with the 48 V belt-driven starter-generator, factory mild-hybrid electrical architecture or battery positioning (under-seat or rear-mounted depending on trim). Factory regen, factory coasting mode and factory AMG EQ Boost characteristic are preserved.
Does the wide-body conversion affect factory 4MATIC+ / air-spring calibration?
No. The fender flare set adds +70 mm total track width at the wheelarch extremities but does not modify wheel offset or suspension geometry — the flares extend outward from the factory wheelarch to accommodate wider-track forged wheel setups. Factory 4MATIC+ fully variable torque distribution, factory AIRMATIC air-spring calibration and factory ADS+ adaptive damping continue unchanged.
Is the GLE Coupé programme available as a Soft Kit (reversible) tier?
Not currently. Mansory's Soft Kit tier is offered specifically on F8, Roma, MC20 and Urus. GLE Coupé commissions consistently specify the full wide-body conversion, so the Soft Kit tier has not been added to the GLE Coupé catalogue.
How does the GLE Coupé C167 compare to the Cayenne Coupé 9Y3 in the Mansory stack?
Both are fastback SUV-coupés on closely-matched platforms (MHA / MLB Evo) in the premium-SUV market. GLE Coupé runs Mercedes chassis architecture with AIRMATIC; Cayenne Coupé runs VW Group MLB Evo with PASM. Mansory commissions tend to match buyer-brand preference — AMG-specifying buyers go GLE Coupé, Porsche-leaning buyers go Cayenne Coupé, Lamborghini-brand buyers go Urus.
