MANSORY Gronos for the Mercedes G-Class W465 — the facelift-generation carbon programme

Mercedes-Benz updated the G-Class in late 2024 with a generational facelift that carries the new chassis code W465. The facelift is not merely a cosmetic refresh: there is a redesigned front grille with an integrated radar structure, a new front bumper with functional cooling apertures, a redesigned hood line, updated LED lighting clusters front and rear, a new interior architecture, and — most significantly — the addition of the G 580 with EQ Technology as the first battery-electric G-Class. The previous W463A generation (and its carbon-kit siblings on this catalogue) remains supported separately. This page covers the Gronos programme dimensioned specifically for the new W465 front and rear geometry, and it notes the points where the G 580 EQ deviates from the AMG G 63 on this body.

Why the W465 Gronos is a separate SKU from the W463A Gronos

Mansory's existing Gronos programme for the previous-generation G-Class (see the W463A Gronos page) was dimensioned to the W463A front and rear bumper geometry, the W463A grille structure, and the W463A rear tail-light assembly. Those dimensions changed on the W465 facelift. The front grille now integrates the radar-module cluster at a new geometry. The rear tail-light assembly extends further into the rear quarter panel than the W463A version did. The rear spare-wheel carrier on the tailgate has a different mount pattern. Mansory could not re-use the W463A Gronos parts on the W465 and published a new programme — this page.

What Gronos adds to the W465 body

The Gronos programme is a widebody conversion rather than a narrow bolt-on. Front and rear carbon fender flares extend the arch line by approximately 50 mm per side, matched with widebody bumpers, a vented bonnet with four functional louvre outlets, and a distinctive spare-wheel carbon cover that carries the Gronos badge on the tailgate.

Front zone:

  • Front bumper with enlarged cooling intakes — preserves the W465 factory radar-module aperture and the parking-sensor positions
  • Front carbon fender flares (L&R) with Gronos-style fender-edge venting
  • Vented carbon bonnet with four louvre outlets sized to the M177 V8 heat signature (AMG G 63 variant); a smooth-bonnet variant is available for the G 580 EQ variant where louvre outlets are unnecessary
  • Carbon grille frame insert

Rear zone:

  • Rear carbon fender flares (L&R) aligned to the widebody rear arch
  • Spare-wheel carbon cover (Gronos-branded; replaces the W465 factory plastic spare cover)
  • Rear apron trim with integrated diffuser
  • Rear fender-mounted turn-signal carbon surrounds

Roof zone (optional):

  • Carbon roof rails — a W465-specific SKU that is not shared with the W463A Gronos roof rails
  • Carbon sunroof surround overlay

AMG G 63 vs G 580 EQ — where the bodywork differs

The W465 body is shared between the AMG G 63 and the G 580 with EQ Technology. Mansory's Gronos kit fits both donors on most parts but splits at two points.

Bonnet: the AMG G 63 runs the M177 4.0 biturbo V8 under the bonnet and generates substantial under-bonnet heat that the Mansory quad-louvre bonnet vents to improve cooling. The G 580 EQ runs four e-motors and a battery pack and does not produce under-bonnet heat at the same level; the louvres are cosmetic at best on the BEV. Mansory ships a smooth-bonnet Gronos variant for G 580 EQ donors; the quad-louvre bonnet is an option but is not the default on the BEV.

Rear apron / exhaust: the G 63 runs a factory quad-tip exhaust exiting through the rear-bumper side cutouts. The Gronos rear apron retains the quad-tip cutout geometry on the G 63 SKU. The G 580 EQ has no exhaust — the rear apron for the BEV is smooth-rear with no tip cutouts. The workshop routes the correct rear apron by VIN automatically.

Spare-wheel cover: both the G 63 and the G 580 EQ use the same spare-wheel carrier on the tailgate. The carbon spare-wheel cover is common. Owners of the G 580 EQ who have deleted the spare-wheel carrier in favour of a flat tailgate (a factory option on the BEV) route to a separate flat-tailgate carbon trim SKU rather than the spare-wheel cover.

Engine and drivetrain — factory output preserved

The AMG G 63 W465 produces 585 hp from the M177 4.0 biturbo V8 in facelift trim. The G 580 EQ runs four electric motors with a combined output of 432 kW (587 hp) and generates 1164 Nm of torque. Mansory does not publish tunes for either drivetrain on the W465; the Gronos programme is bodywork and wheels only. A stainless sport-exhaust SKU is available for the AMG G 63 only (not applicable to the BEV) — it is a common add-on because the factory G 63 exhaust sounds muted relative to the Gronos bodywork's visual aggression.

Wheels — 23" or 24" forged

The OEM G 63 W465 ships on 20", 21" or 22" AMG forged wheels depending on trim. The Mansory Gronos wheel is available in 23" or 24" forged designs; the 24" is the dominant spec on Gulf-market commissions, the 23" on European and North American commissions. The G 580 EQ buyer tends to specify the 23" rather than the 24" because the BEV's additional mass (+600 kg vs the G 63) combined with a 24" wheel's tyre profile can compromise ride comfort on long motorway drives. A lowering module is available that interfaces with the factory AMG Active Ride Control and with the G 580 EQ's air-suspension module; it is a separate SKU. Wheel range: Hodoor forged wheels.

Geography in 2026 — first-movers on a new generation

The W465 launched in late 2024 and is still new-generation inventory in early 2026. The Mansory order book is therefore a first-mover map rather than a full-distribution map. The buyers commissioning Gronos in 2026 are the ones who take delivery on the earliest W465 allocation and want Mansory bodywork ready for the donor before the aftermarket broadly catches up.

The Gulf is the single largest first-mover geography. UAE commissions carry the largest volume — Dubai-based AMG G 63 owners taking delivery on 2025 and 2026 model-year W465 inventory are commissioning the Gronos kit at a higher rate than any other single region. The Saudi commissioning pattern is similar but with more garage-use spec (raw carbon bumpers, 24" wheels, dry-carbon upgrades). Qatar, Bahrain and Oman round out the Gulf first-mover footprint.

The G 580 EQ first-mover geography is different and concentrated in Western Europe's BEV-incentive markets. Netherlands and Norway carry the first wave of G 580 EQ Mansory commissions; these orders dominantly specify the smooth-bonnet BEV variant, raw-carbon fender flares, and the 23" wheel. The Swiss Alpine corridor takes a mix of G 63 and G 580 EQ first-mover commissions.

The US first-mover order book is concentrated in Florida (Miami / Palm Beach) and Southern California (Beverly Hills / Newport Beach). The US does not have a country-blog page. The Asia-Pacific first-mover map is thinner — Hong Kong takes a small share on G 63 specifications, and China is expected to ramp through 2026 as Mercedes-Benz allocation to the W465 matures.

Sister Mansory G-Class programmes

The W465 Gronos joins a dense Mansory G-Class stack: the previous-generation W463A Gronos, the W463A Viva Edition 2021 (a numbered anniversary programme), the W463 Soft Kit (the pre-W463A generation), and the Brabus G63 specials on separate pages. The W465 is the newest and is positioned against those siblings as the first-mover current-generation kit. Households that step up from a W463A G 63 to a W465 G 63 typically commission the W465 Gronos against the same Pantone paint specification as their previous Mansory W463A.

Ordering & lead time

Full W465 Gronos widebody carbon set: five to seven weeks (longer than narrow-body kits because of fender-flare bonding). Mansory sport exhaust (G 63 only): three weeks. 23" forged wheel set: four weeks. 24" forged wheel set with lowering module: five to six weeks. Email [email protected] or WhatsApp +44 7488 818747 with your VIN, confirmed variant (AMG G 63 / G 580 EQ Technology), build year, OEM Mercedes-Benz paint code, and preferred delivery. For G 580 EQ commissions specify whether the standard or smooth-bonnet variant is desired. For all W465 commissions, confirm whether the factory spare-wheel carrier is retained or deleted — the workshop routes the correct tailgate carbon SKU accordingly.

FAQ

Does this kit fit the previous-generation W463A G-Class?
No. The W465 facelift changed front bumper, grille, rear tail-light assembly and rear bumper geometry. W463A commissions route to the W463A Gronos page.

Does the kit fit both the AMG G 63 and the G 580 EQ on the same part numbers?
Most parts are shared. The bonnet splits (quad-louvre for G 63, smooth for G 580 EQ default), the rear apron splits (quad-tip cutout for G 63, smooth for BEV), and the tailgate carbon spare-wheel cover is the same for both (assuming the spare-wheel carrier is retained).

Does the G 580 EQ's DC fast-charge port clear the Mansory front bumper?
Yes. The G 580 EQ carries its charge port on the left front fender. The Mansory front fender flare is dimensioned around the charge-port door and does not obstruct the factory flush-door actuator.

Does the kit preserve the G-Class's factory off-road geometry (approach / departure / break-over)?
Mostly. The widebody fender flares do not affect approach / departure / break-over angles — they add width, not reduce ground clearance. The front bumper preserves factory approach angle within 1 degree of the OEM geometry. Most W465 Mansory commissions are paved-road-only; owners planning genuine off-road use should flag it at order so the workshop ships the high-mount front-lip variant.

Will the 24" forged wheel clear the factory G-Manufaktur calipers?
Yes on the G 63. The 24" forged wheel clears the factory AMG six-piston front caliper and four-piston rear caliper. Owners who have specified the optional G-Manufaktur ceramic brake upgrade should confirm caliper geometry with the workshop at order — a small number of ceramic configurations require a wheel spacer.

Does the lowering module work with the G 580 EQ's air suspension?
Yes. The Mansory lowering module interfaces with the G 580 EQ's air-suspension control unit at the same connector used on the G 63 Active Ride Control. The offset range is the same on both variants.
