The fourth-generation Range Rover, internal code L405, ran from 2013 to 2022 and is in retrospect the platform on which the modern Range Rover became fully itself. Solihull moved to an all-aluminium monocoque for the first time in the model's history — a 39 percent weight reduction from the previous L322 — and used the L405 to push the Range Rover further into the ultra-luxury bracket previously occupied by Bentley and Rolls-Royce. The SVAutobiography Dynamic, the long-wheelbase Autobiography Black, and the supercharged Range Rover Sport SVR all sit inside the L405 production cycle.
The Mansory programme followed that platform shift. What launched in 2013 as a relatively conventional carbon-overlay kit evolved across the L405's nine-year production run into a full body language with optional power increases — the kit at end-of-cycle (2022) is materially different from the kit at launch.
Two body lengths: standard wheelbase (SWB, 2 922 mm) and long wheelbase (LWB, 3 122 mm). The Mansory kit is supplied to fit both. Donor scope across the production cycle:
Engineering platform: aluminium-intensive monocoque with steel sub-frames, four-corner air suspension with 290 mm of vertical travel, two-speed transfer case with low-range, electronically locking centre and rear differentials, Terrain Response 2 with Auto mode. Wading depth 900 mm — the deepest of any production luxury SUV at the time.
The L405 schedule has changed across the production years. The current specification — what ships from 2022 inventory and continues into the post-L405 service catalogue — is structured around three configurations rather than a single integrated kit:
Carbon Trim Configuration. Carbon front grille surround, carbon front lower bumper insert, carbon side-skirt accents, carbon mirror caps, carbon rear-bumper diffuser insert. Retains the factory bumper shells. Specified on Vogue and Autobiography commissions where the brief is "carbon-emphasised stock plus".
Standard Body Configuration. Replacement carbon front bumper with deeper splitter and enlarged radiator intakes, vented carbon bonnet (V8 only), deep carbon side skirts, replacement carbon rear bumper with full diffuser, carbon decklid spoiler, carbon roof spoiler. The default configuration on SVAutobiography commissions.
Wide Body Configuration. Adds bonded carbon fender extensions (+30 mm per side front, +35 mm per side rear), enlarged wheel-arch geometry to clear 23"/24" forged, carbon B-pillar trim, carbon door-handle inserts, carbon tailgate trim. Specified on the most assertive commissions — typically SVAutobiography Dynamic donors with Mansory ECU work paired in.
Factory L405 wheel sizes range 19"-22". Mansory steps to 22" forged on the standard configuration and 24" forged on the wide-body configuration, staggered fitment, tyre dimensions 285/40 R22 or 305/35 R24. The L405's air-suspension load profile and the Sport / Autobiography kerb weights (~2 360 kg) require load-rated forged construction; the most-specified patterns on the L405 are the FM.10 deep-multi-spoke and the FB.6 beadlock-styled six-spoke (the latter favoured on SVAutobiography Dynamic builds with the wide-body configuration). Forged catalogue: hodoor.world/collection/forgedwheels.
Distinct from the body kit. The optional Mansory ECU programme on the supercharged 5.0 V8 takes the standard 510 hp Vogue tune to ~600 hp, the SVAutobiography 565 hp tune to ~640 hp, and includes a freer-flowing exhaust and recalibrated supercharger pulley on the higher tier. Specified separately at order intake; the body programme can ship with or without engine work.
The L405 is past its production cycle (replaced by the L460 from 2022) but the second-hand market is dense across the United Kingdom, the Gulf states, the Russian and CIS region, and increasingly Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. The Mansory L405 take rate has been particularly high in three corridors:
United Kingdom — Solihull's home market and the largest L405 fleet by registration, with Mansory commissions concentrated in London, the Cotswolds and the Cheshire-Manchester executive corridor.
UAE and Saudi Arabia — the L405 SVAutobiography LWB is the chauffeured executive Range Rover variant most-photographed in Dubai and Riyadh, and Mansory builds ship into the region year-round. UAE country brief.
Russia and CIS — L405 ownership in Moscow and St Petersburg has been substantial since launch and Mansory builds continue to ship to the Moscow-region installer network.
Required at quote: L405 VIN, donor trim (Vogue / Autobiography / SVAutobiography / SVAutobiography Dynamic / Vogue LWB / Autobiography LWB), wheelbase, build year (the 2018 mid-cycle facelift slightly revised the front fascia and the kit is supplied to match), current paint code, body configuration tier (Trim / Standard / Wide), wheel pattern and finish, optional engine programme, destination country.
Lead times: Trim configuration ships in 6-8 weeks; Standard in 8-10 weeks; Wide in 12-14 weeks. Installation 2-3 weeks at any Land Rover specialist. Total order-to-road approximately 3-4 months for the body programme alone, plus 4 weeks if the engine programme is included.

Does the kit fit the 2018 mid-cycle facelift? Yes. The 2018 facelift slightly revised the front-bumper geometry and headlamp graphic; Mansory supplies the L405 front bumper to match the donor's build year, with pre-facelift (2013-2017) and post-facelift (2018-2022) configurations both supported.
Is the kit compatible with the Range Rover Sport L494? No. The Range Rover Sport L494 is a different platform (Sport-specific aluminium architecture) with different bumper-mount geometry and a different fender profile. Mansory supplies a separate L494 programme for Sport donors including the SVR.
Does the wide-body configuration require ECU work to handle the 24" forged? No. The factory air-suspension load profile and electronic chassis-control system handle the 24" forged fitment without recalibration. The body and engine programmes are independent.
Will the kit work on a long-wheelbase L405? Yes. The LWB Autobiography and SVAutobiography are supported with the same kit specifications; the only LWB-specific element is the rear-door-and-quarter-panel bonding, which is supplied to the LWB body geometry at order intake.
What about diesel donors? The kit fits all powertrains — TDV6, SDV8, 5.0 V8 supercharged. Diesel donors do not receive the vented bonnet (no thermal justification) and are typically specified at the Trim or Standard configuration rather than Wide.
Buyers who land on this card often also weigh Carbon Fiber Body kit set for Land Rover Range Rover V, Land Rover Range Rover III and Body Kit for Range Rover (2023). Pair selections — kit + wheels — can be discussed in one conversation; we route through one Mansory order.
Delivery routes for the Land Rover Range Rover MK IV kit are predictable: Gulf, Greater China, and select European clusters dominate. Asia-Pacific volume runs through Thailand and Singapore, where forged-wheel sets are usually configured alongside the body kit. In the Gulf, dealers in Qatar and Oman commission this kit alongside other Mansory programmes. For the CIS region the kit ships under the CIS market via the Tsar programme, with customs and certification handled in-line. Every Land Rover Range Rover MK IV kit leaves with tracked, insured logistics and customs documents prepared for the destination.
