The Mercedes-Benz V-Class W447 launched in 2014 as the third-generation light-commercial passenger van, succeeding the W639 Vito/Viano and assembled at the Mercedes plant in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. The W447 ran a substantial mid-life facelift in 2019 — redrawn front fascia, new diamond-pattern grille, updated bumper geometry and a powertrain switch from OM651 to OM654 / OM656. Mansory's Lounge catalogue ships in two distinct programmes for the two phases. This page covers the pre-facelift Lounge for 2014-2018 cars only; 2019+ donors route to the facelift kit. The body panels and cabin module are not interchangeable between the two phases.
The Lounge programme is unusual in the Mansory catalogue: it exists almost exclusively for chauffeured-shuttle operators, airport-transfer firms, on-set film and television transport and high-net-worth household fleets — not retail end-buyers. Operator-fleet pairings: S-Class W223, Maybach GLS X167, GLE V167.
The 2019 W447 facelift introduced a redrawn front fascia (new diamond-pattern grille, repositioned LED daytime running lights), updated bumper geometry, and the OM654 / OM656 powertrains replacing OM651. The pre-facelift Lounge kit is dimensioned for the original W447 fascia and the OM651 engine bay. Neither the carbon front bumper nor the cabin headliner module from the facelift programme transfer across.

The Lounge package rebuilds the standard six- or seven-seat people-mover layout into a chauffeured-vehicle cabin built around an aft seating club — a high-bolster, individually-reclining four-seat configuration with a fixed chauffeur partition. Cabin module timeline at Mansory's factory in Brand, Bavaria runs 14 to 16 weeks; the conversion is fully reversible through Mansory's recall procedure.
The exterior carbon programme runs independently of the Lounge cabin. Operators specify the body kit when the V-Class needs to compete on visual brief with the Maybach S-Class or the Cullinan as the airport-arrival vehicle. PU-RIM composite on bumpers and fender flares; 2x2 twill weave on visible aerodynamic pieces; default finish painted-to-OEM-body.
Matched fitment is the Mansory M-series fully forged 21" wheel in stagger, 245/40 R21 front / 285/35 R21 rear. OEM W447 runs 17"-19" cast; the 21" forging trims approximately 4 kg of unsprung mass per corner. Diamond black, polished silver, gun metal and Mansory bronze are catalogue finishes for fleet builds. Forged catalogue: hodoor.world/collection/forgedwheels.
The W447 Lounge programme ships globally to chauffeured-shuttle and VIP-fleet operators. Demand is concentrated in markets where private VIP transfer is regulated rather than informal.
The kit fits the 2014-2018 W447 V-Class pre-facelift across the OM651 powertrain trims. The kit does not fit the 2019+ W447 facelift (separate programme), the Vito commercial-cargo variant of the same chassis (different rear-cabin floor plan), the W639 Viano predecessor (older platform, separate part-number set) or the 2024+ W467 V-Class next-generation chassis (entirely new platform, kit not yet catalogued).
Cabin Lounge module: 14 to 16 weeks at Mansory's factory in Brand. Body kit (full): four to five weeks panel manufacture plus three to four weeks body-shop install. Forged 21" wheel set: four weeks. Does the pre-facelift kit fit a 2019 V-Class?
No. 2019 cars are post-facelift W447 with the redrawn fascia and OM654 / OM656 engine bay. Build year specified at order intake routes the order to the matched facelift kit automatically.
Can the Lounge cabin be specified without the body kit?
Yes. Cabin and body programmes are independent. Operators sometimes specify Lounge alone on a stock-bodied W447 to maintain a discreet exterior read on UN-affiliated, diplomatic and executive-protection corridors.
Is the OM651 diesel adequate for a converted-cabin W447?
Yes for V 220 CDI and V 250 BlueTEC. Lounge adds 180-220 kg over OEM seating; V 250 BlueTEC at 190 PS / 440 Nm handles the converted GVW within Mercedes spec on European motorways. V 200 CDI is workable for short-distance shuttle use but slow on motorway gradients under full load.
Will the Lounge cabin retrofit on a short-wheelbase W447?
No. The aft club layout with chauffeur partition requires the long-wheelbase floor plan. SWB owners specify body kit and cabin trim refresh only — without the partition or the four-seat conversion.
Is the conversion reversible?
Yes. Cabin conversion is reversible at Mansory's factory in Brand via the recall procedure. Reversal time is approximately four to five weeks. Operators are encouraged to retain the original Mercedes parts at conversion time.
