The C205 is the Coupé sibling of the W205 C-Class generation Mercedes-Benz produced from 2014 to 2023. Where the saloon W205 carried the volume-trim badge work, the C205 was AMG's compact-Coupé platform — the chassis on which the AMG C63 / C63 S Coupé built its identity through the second half of the 2010s, and on which the AMG C43 4MATIC Coupé sat as the V6-biturbo (later inline-six) entry into the C-Class AMG line. Mercedes ended C205 production in 2023 alongside the rest of the W205 family; the W206 generation that replaced it dropped the V8 from the C63 entirely (the W206 C63 runs a four-cylinder PHEV F1-derived powertrain), so the C205 sits in the catalogue today as the last V8-powered C-Class Coupé.
Mansory's C205 programme is a focused build dimensioned to the AMG donors and to the AMG Line trim variants of the non-AMG Coupés. The kit is not a wide build — there are no bonded fender flares and no track widening — but the front and rear bumpers are full-replacement on AMG donors (where the Mansory aero language wants the deeper splitter geometry) and bumper-additive overlays on non-AMG Coupé donors with the AMG Line aero pack. The C-Class W204 facelift sister kit lives at the W204 Restyling page for owners shopping the previous-generation compact-Coupé chassis.
The C205 was Mercedes' first proper C-Class Coupé in the modern AMG era — the C204 (Coupé sibling of the W204 saloon) had been a compact-coupé in name but shared most of the saloon's geometry. C205 is a different proposition: notably lower roofline (1 405 mm vs the saloon's 1 442 mm), and a redrawn rear-three-quarter that resolves to a Coupé silhouette rather than a saloon-with-fewer-doors. Chassis sits on the W205 family's MRA underfloor with aluminium fenders, steel passenger cell and aluminium bonnet/boot. Wheelbase 2 840 mm. Front track 1 588 mm (AMG cars 1 595 mm). Kerb weight ranges 1 555 kg (C200 Coupé) to 1 745 kg (C63 S Coupé Final Edition).
The C205 ran two AMG variants and a wide non-AMG range over its production lifetime. The Mansory programme is AMG-focused; non-AMG fitment is supported on AMG Line spec donors only.
Transmission across the donor pool: AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G nine-speed (C63 / C63 S facelift), AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7G seven-speed (C63 / C63 S pre-facelift), 9G-TRONIC nine-speed (C43, non-AMG donors). RWD on C63 / C63 S; permanent 4MATIC on C43; RWD on most non-AMG donors with 4MATIC optional.
The kit is bumper-replacement on AMG cars and bumper-additive on AMG Line non-AMG cars. No fender flares, no track widening, no widebody.
Total fitment runs 5-7 hours on bumper-additive non-AMG cars; AMG donors with full-replacement bumpers run 2-3 days with paint-prep and OEM-bumper removal. The vented bonnet adds another body-shop pass in body-colour paint; lacquered visible-weave bonnets ship paint-ready.
Mansory's Powerbox is offered on the M177 4.0 V8 biturbo — the same engine family the workshop modules across the AMG GT, E63, GLE63 and S63. On the C63 the module lifts the 476 PS pre-facelift to roughly 565 PS and the 510 PS C63 S to approximately 585 PS, with the optional sport exhaust as a valved-muffler upgrade. Torque rises from 650/700 Nm to ~750-800 Nm through the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT's stock calibration. On the C43 the M276 V6 module gains ~40 PS; the M256 inline-six on the late-facelift C43 is not modulated — EQ Boost ECU interaction with a piggyback is not sufficiently characterised. Non-AMG donors are not catalogued for Powerbox.
The matched fitment is the M-series 20" forging in stagger sizing on the C205's 5×112 PCD bolt pattern. Tyre fitment 245/35 R20 front, 275/30 R20 rear on AMG-spec stagger; non-AMG donors squared at 245/35 R20. The 20" forging trims ~4 kg of unsprung mass per corner against the OEM 19" cast wheel and clears the OEM AMG carbon-ceramic high-performance brake package on C63 S without spacers. Patterns: M.7, FD.16, YN.5, S.11; finishes in diamond black, polished face with contrast spoke, satin gunmetal, paint-to-body. Forged catalogue: hodoor.world/collection/forgedwheels. Wheel certification covers C63 S Final Edition kerb weight (1 745 kg) and the M177 V8 biturbo torque envelope.
The kit is dimensioned for the C205 Coupé bodyshell (2015-2023). It does not fit:
Pre-facelift / facelift split: 2015-2018 pre-facelift C205 cars and 2018-2023 facelift cars share rear-bumper, side-sill, bonnet, boot-spoiler and trim parts. Front bumper differs across the facelift transition; specify the donor's build year at order so the correct front-bumper SKU ships.
C205 ownership is geographically wider than the flagship Mansory programmes — the C-Class is a volume product and the AMG Coupé buyer base spreads across Europe, the United Kingdom, parts of Asia and the European-luxury-island corridor. Volume map:
Quote intake requires: VIN, donor confirmation (C63 / C63 S / C43 / non-AMG with AMG Line spec), build year (pre-facelift 2015-2018 vs facelift 2018-2023), exterior paint code, scope (full kit / front-only / rear-only), wheel pattern and finish, Powerbox option (AMG only), destination country. Production typically 6-8 weeks for the body kit and 20" forged set; Powerbox calibration adds 2-3 weeks. Installation 2-3 days at any AMG-experienced workshop on bumper-additive non-AMG cars; AMG cars with full-replacement bumpers and the vented bonnet run a 5-7 day body-shop residence with paint-prep. Email [email protected] with VIN and donor specification, or message WhatsApp +44 7488 818747.
Hodoor.World runs the Body Kit for Mercedes SL-Class R231 AMG alongside the Carbon Fiber Body kit set for Mercedes-Benz E-class on the same Mansory factory routing, with Carbon Fiber Body kit set for Mercedes-Benz GLB X247 sharing the same component-sourcing channel.
Will the kit fit my A205 Cabriolet?
Front clip and side sills fit cleanly; the rear apron and boot-lid spoiler do not transfer to the Cabriolet body because the rear deck and trunk-lid geometry differ. A205 commissions are quoted as partial-spec orders (front-and-sides only) rather than as a full-kit fitment.
Can I run the kit on a non-AMG C205 without the AMG Line aero pack?
The standard non-AMG C205 bumper is too narrow at the lower valance to accept the Mansory front splitter without modification. Owners who want the kit on a base-trim C205 are routed to either an AMG Line aero-pack retrofit (Mercedes-AMG dealer commission, separate from Mansory) before the body kit lands, or to a partial-spec order covering the side sills, vented bonnet, mirror caps and grille frame only.
Is the C205 build affected by the M177 V8 production transition between pre-facelift and facelift?
The bodywork specification is unaffected — the engine bay, intercooler routing and exhaust outlet positions are common across pre-facelift and facelift M177 cars. The front bumper SKU differs at facelift (revised lower-valance air curtain on facelift) but that is a styling-driven split rather than a powertrain-driven one.
