Mansory Carbon Fiber Body kit set for Mercedes-Benz E-class

Mansory carbon programme — Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W212 and W213)

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the longest-running line in Stuttgart's catalogue. This page picks up the lineage at the W212 (2009-2016 saloon, with the X212 estate sibling) and continues into the W213 (2016-2023 saloon, with the S213 estate and C238/A238 coupe-cabrio variants). Mansory's E-Class kit is published as a saloon programme, with dimensional logic recut at the front bumper, fenders and rear bumper between the two chassis. Estate, coupe and cabrio donors fit a partial scope of the kit; the front and rear bumpers plus the boot wing are saloon-only. Sister Stuttgart programmes: the CLS C218 four-door coupe, the S-Class W222 facelift, the Maybach S-Class W223 and the AMG GT 63 4-door.

What the W212 / W213 generations bring to the brief

The W212 launched at the Geneva show in March 2009 and ran through the 2014 mid-cycle facelift — the visual change at facelift was substantial enough that body shops split the W212 catalogue into pre- and post-facelift sub-variants. The W213 followed in autumn 2016 with a full platform reset onto Mercedes' MRA architecture, sharing floorpan logic with the C-Class W205 and GLC X253. Headline numbers:

The bodywork handles every donor in the table. Fender flares share the same +20 / +28 mm bonded geometry across both chassis but with different bond-flange profiles per generation; front and rear bumpers are chassis-specific SKUs because lamp graphics and radiator-stack frames differ between W212 facelift and W213 launch spec. Specify chassis VIN at quote and the bumper variant locks against the build month.

Carbon panel inventory

The kit is autoclave-cured pre-preg in 2x2 twill weave with a clear-lacquer flash on visible pieces. Painted-to-body finish is the more common configuration on E-Class donors because the saloon's owner profile leans corporate and chauffeured rather than display-and-photograph.

  • Carbon front bumper — full replacement, two chassis-specific variants (W212 facelift / W213); revised lower intake apertures, integrated splitter, lower-corner canard pair.
  • Vented carbon bonnet — replaces the OEM aluminium piece; central NACA cut routes radiator-stack heat over the cabin, OEM Mercedes badge mounting preserved at front centre.
  • Bonded fender flares — front pair (+20 mm per side), rear pair (+28 mm per side); dimensioned for the Mansory 21" forged stagger with no inner-arch cuts.
  • Carbon side skirts — full-length replacement, deeper rocker geometry; door-bottom flange preserved.
  • Carbon rear bumper with diffuser — full replacement, two variants. The W212 variant carries a quad-tip cutout matched to the AMG E63 / E63 S exhaust footprint (with twin-tip and single-tip alternates for the volume V6 / inline-four donors); the W213 variant is dimensioned around the M177 quad-tip layout on AMG cars and the M256 / M264 twin-tip layout on the volume catalogue.
  • Fixed carbon boot wing — sits on the boot lid above the OEM C-pillar trail with adjustable end-plates; W212 and W213 variants share the wing profile but with different mounting pad geometry.
  • Mirror caps in visible weave with low-gloss lacquer to read against the typical E-Class diamond-white or obsidian-black paint finishes; OEM lane-change indicator and surround-camera apertures preserved.
  • A-pillar overlay and side-vent fairing pair in matched visible weave.

The AMG side — M177 (W213) and M157 (W212)

The W213 E63 4MATIC+ (571 hp / 750 Nm) and E63 S 4MATIC+ (612 hp / 850 Nm) run the AMG-built M177 DE40 AL twin-turbo V8, hand-assembled at Affalterbach on the "one man, one engine" principle. The SpeedShift MCT 9G is calibrated to the M177 torque envelope. Drivetrain is 4MATIC+ standard with Drift Mode — Mercedes' first AMG saloon to ship rear-bias decoupling. The body kit runs on stock calibration; the front bumper is dimensioned around the OEM intercooler and radiator pack.

The earlier W212 E63 AMG ran the M157 5.5 V8 BiTurbo — same engine family as the W463 G63 — at 525 hp (E63), 557 hp (E63 S 2013-onward) or 585 hp (E63 S Edition 1). Drivetrain switched from rear-drive to 4MATIC AWD at the 2013 mid-cycle. The Mansory W212 rear bumper is cut for the AMG quad-tip exhaust and for the OEM rear-bumper performance pack on E63 S cars; the W212 E63 Performance Pack chassis calibration is unaffected.

Wheel and tyre fitment — 20" / 21" forged stagger on the 5x112 PCD

The Mercedes 5x112 mm bolt circle is the volume premium-saloon pattern — shared with the C-Class, S-Class, GLC, GLE and the AMG GT 4-door. Centre bore is 66.6 mm on both W212 and W213. Mansory specifies the kit on a 20" / 21" stagger that picks up the bonded flare geometry without spacers:

  • 20x9.0J ET+35 front, 20x10.5J ET+30 rear on the volume-trim donor (E200 / E300 / E400 / E450) for owners who want a daily-driver fitment with comfortable sidewall.
  • 21x9.5J ET+38 front, 21x11.0J ET+30 rear as the AMG / display fitment on E63 4MATIC+ and E63 S donors; the OEM 19" or 20" AMG forged is replaced.
  • Tyre fitment 21": 255/35 R21 front, 295/30 R21 rear on the AMG donor. Tyre fitment 20": 255/40 R20 front, 285/35 R20 rear.
  • Patterns: FD.16 dual-spoke concave, YN.5 double-Y, M.7 classic multi-spoke, CM.6 deep-dish concave for owners specifying the more aggressive read against the AMG-Performance bumper.
  • Finishes: satin black, gun metal, two-tone diamond-cut, bronze, paint-to-sample matched to the donor's coachline. OEM TPMS sensors transfer.
  • The forging clears the OEM AMG iron-disc and ceramic-composite brake packages without spacers. Catalogue at hodoor.world/collection/forgedwheels.

Build and paint workload

Body-shop turnaround on a full E-Class kit is 14 to 18 days. The flare-bond paint cycle is the cost-dominant work; the bumper and skirt swap is straightforward against OEM panel fastenings. Most W213 commissions run paint-to-body across the flares, skirts and bumpers with visible weave reserved for the bonnet, mirror caps and boot wing — that mix reads against the dominant Mercedes obsidian-black, diamond-white and selenite-grey paint signatures.

Where E-Class commissions concentrate

The E-Class is one of the broader-distributed donor cars in the Mansory catalogue — the saloon sells globally in roughly even share rather than clustering in a specific market the way the Maybach GLS or the 6x6 does.

  • United Kingdom — the dominant single-market lane on this kit. Mayfair and Surrey body shops handle the bond cycle in-country.
  • UAE ships a steady share, often paired with the matching AMG GT 63 4-door kit in the same garage.
  • Poland and the Czech corridor hold a steady Central European share — both markets run high E-Class density in the executive segment.
  • Turkey — Istanbul commissions run on the AMG E63 donor at higher proportion than the volume catalogue.
  • Israel — Tel Aviv specialist shops; Israeli registration accepts the kit on a Mansory engineering-letter without separate type-approval.
  • Hong Kong commissions specify visible-weave finish across the bonnet, boot wing and mirror caps with paint-to-body on everything else — the discreet read works against the territory's dominant dark-paint preference.

Carbon set production runs 4 to 6 weeks at the workshop; sea freight to East Asia or GCC is 22-26 days; end-to-end timeline from VIN-confirmed quote to finished car: typically 11 to 13 weeks.

FAQ

Will the kit fit the W211 (2002-2009 generation)?
No. The W211 is a generation older than the kit's earliest fit and uses different fender, bumper and rear-end geometry. Mansory does not catalogue a W211 kit; W212 panels do not align on the W211 body.

Does the kit fit the W213 estate (S213) or the C238 coupe?
Partial scope. The fender flares, side skirts, vented bonnet, mirror caps and front bumper fit the S213 estate and the C238 coupe / A238 cabrio without modification — those panels share dimensional logic across body styles. The rear bumper and fixed boot wing are saloon-only; estate and coupe variants require dedicated SKUs that are not in the saloon catalogue. Specify body style at quote.

Does the bodywork affect the AMG warranty on a W213 E63 S?
Replaced body panels lapse warranty on those specific panels. The M177 powertrain warranty, the SpeedShift MCT 9G transmission warranty, electrical-system, chassis-frame and rust-perforation cover all remain in force — no mechanical work is undertaken. Declare the modification at the next service interval as a matter of dealership record-keeping.

Will the W212 facelift bumper fit a 2009-2013 pre-facelift car?
No. The pre-facelift W212 wears a different bumper geometry — the four-headlamp signature was replaced at the 2014 facelift with a single-unit headlamp and the bumper was redrawn. Pre-facelift owners take a separate bumper variant quoted on a per-VIN basis and built to order. Specify build month at quote.

Can the kit be specified without bonded flares for a reversible build?
Yes — the partial-scope build (front bumper, side skirts, vented bonnet, rear bumper, boot wing, mirror caps) skips the +20 / +28 mm flare set and remains bolt-on against OEM mounting; the OEM fender geometry is preserved. This is the dominant W212 commission spec for chauffeured-saloon owners.
