Mansory Race Edition Body Kit for Bentley Continental GT and GTC

The Race edition is the highest rung of Mansory's Continental GT ladder — not a trim variant of the standard widebody but a separate, low-volume programme that swaps almost every painted panel for exposed twill and adds GT3-school aero hardware to the running gear. Built around either the 4ZA chassis (second-generation 2011-2018) or the current 3GT platform (2018 onwards), the kit is normally specified on W12 6.0 cars, with a smaller cohort of 4.0 V8 commissions following the same template. Where the regular Mansory Continental dresses the Bentley in muscle, Race edition treats it as a coachbuilt collector's piece — numbered, fully briefed and assembled to a different schedule.

This page describes the complete Race edition body programme as Hodoor supplies it: every visible carbon panel, the aero geometry borrowed from endurance racing, the forged wheel and brake-cooling pairing, and the buyer corridors we ship into most often. If you would like to see how the Race edition stacks up against the equivalent Brabus build for the same chassis, the comparison is laid out in our editorial piece Mansory vs Brabus: Bentley Continental GT.

What "Race edition" means in the Mansory catalogue

Inside the Mansory Continental GT family, three layers exist. The base aero refresh tightens the front bumper and adds a subtle lip. The widebody — the spec most buyers picture when they hear "Mansory Bentley" — pushes the arches outwards and re-cuts the rear quarter. Race edition sits a clear step above both, identifiable by the dominance of bare carbon weave on outer surfaces, a substantially more aggressive front splitter, and a freestanding rear wing where the standard widebody runs only a lip spoiler.

Race edition cars are produced in numbered runs, and the parts are not back-fitted from the regular catalogue. The bonnet, the front fenders, the rocker covers and the rear deck are supplied as bespoke pieces with their own moulds, which is why a Race-edition build is almost always commissioned as a complete car rather than panel-by-panel. Hodoor sources both routes — full programme and individual replacement panels for owners restoring an existing Race-edition example.

Because of the limited-series framing, every Race edition leaves Brand-Oberbrunn with a build sheet, weave-direction notes for each visible panel, and a chassis-tied parts list. We pass that documentation through to the customer at delivery.

Aero brief — what was borrowed from GT3

The aero hardware on Race edition is the most overtly motorsport-influenced package in Mansory's road-car catalogue. The front splitter geometry is built around two stacked carbon planes with a turning vane on each shoulder, mirroring the layout used on Bentley's own Continental GT3 endurance car. The plane angles are softened for road compliance, but the working principle — load on the front axle from low-speed pressure differential rather than from a fragile lip — is the same.

At the rear, a swan-neck wing pillar lifts the aerofoil clear of the bootlid surface, so airflow reaches the underside of the wing without separating across the trailing edge of the deck. Underneath, the diffuser carries five strakes — three central and a pair of outboard fins — which manage the air leaving the rear axle and reduce the low-pressure void that normally trails a heavy GT car. Strake spacing is asymmetric on left-hand-drive cars to suit European track use, and Mansory will rebuild the diffuser symmetrically on request.

Wheel-arch venting is the third pillar of the package. Each front fender carries a louvre cluster cut into the upper trailing face, which evacuates air from inside the arch and lowers front-end lift at motorway speeds. The rear quarters carry a smaller, single-vent treatment for the brake duct exit. Together these devices give Race edition a measurable aero balance shift forward compared with the standard widebody, and they are visible enough to read as motorsport furniture rather than as cosmetic vents.

One detail worth flagging: the splitter planes are produced as a single-piece composite assembly rather than a bolt-on lip, so the lower edge sits at a fixed ride height relative to the chassis rails. Owners who plan to lower the car on coilovers should brief us at order so the splitter clearance and front-axle lift system are matched at build time.

Body schedule and exposed-weave dominance

The visible-carbon brief is the loudest part of the Race edition signature. On a fully specified car, the bare-twill surface area easily passes seventy percent of exterior panel coverage, with painted sections reduced to roof skin, doors and lower rocker bases. The body schedule, in the order we usually order it for a turnkey commission, looks like this:

  • Bonnet skin in 2x2 twill with a central pressure relief louvre.
  • Front bumper face, including stacked splitter planes and shoulder turning vanes.
  • Front fenders with integrated arch-vent louvres and exposed-weave outer skin.
  • Side rocker covers with stepped lower edge and stone-strike protection layer.
  • Rear quarter overlays with brake-cooling exit vent.
  • Rear bumper face including diffuser body and five strake elements.
  • Swan-neck rear wing complete with twin pillars and aerofoil profile.
  • Mirror caps, fuel filler surround and engine bay accent set.
  • Optional Race-edition rear deck overlay for cars that retain the painted bootlid.

Each panel ships with weave alignment marks for the painter and bodyshop, so the diagonal of the twill matches the running line of the car when the part is fitted. We strongly recommend keeping that alignment at install — it is the single most visible quality marker on a Race-edition build, and a misaligned panel is the easiest thing to spot from ten feet away.

Forged wheel and brake-cooling pairing

Race edition is normally fitted with Mansory M11-pattern forged wheels in 22-inch diameter, although a 21-inch motorsport-leaning option is available for owners who plan to use the car on track and want extra sidewall. The wheels are usually paired with a brake-cooling kit that routes air from the front bumper inlets along ducted carbon trunking into the inboard side of the brake disc — a hardware addition that visibly mirrors the GT3 endurance package. Hodoor supplies the wheels through our forged wheel collection, with finishes ranging from matte black through to a brushed-titanium look that reads especially well against the exposed twill of the body. Centre-lock conversions are not part of the standard Race-edition spec, but Mansory will quote them for collectors who want the full GT3 aesthetic on a road car, and we can fold the conversion into the same shipping crate to keep handling charges flat.

Buyer corridors

Race-edition commissions are concentrated in five corridors that Hodoor ships into most weeks: the United Kingdom, where Bentley's own home-market clientele keep returning for the apex spec; Germany, where collectors run Race-edition cars alongside their GT3 track machines; the United Arab Emirates, where the exposed-weave brief reads beautifully against desert-show paintwork; Switzerland, which absorbs a steady share of the limited-series numbers each year; and Hong Kong, where the smaller turning circle of the GT/GTC and the pageantry of the Race-edition body together suit the city's collector culture.

Frequently raised questions

Is Race edition available on both the 4ZA second-generation car and the current 3GT?

Yes. Mansory has run the Race-edition badge across both platforms, and Hodoor can source the kit in either fitment. The current 3GT version uses updated mounting points around the front bumper inlets to clear the new radar cluster, but the visual brief — exposed twill, swan-neck wing, GT3-school splitter — carries unchanged.

Can the Race edition be specified with painted body panels instead of bare carbon?

It can, although doing so reduces the most distinctive Race-edition signature. Mansory will paint over the visible panels on request, in which case we recommend retaining the bare twill on the bonnet, splitter and rear wing only — that combination preserves the Race-edition silhouette without committing the entire shell.

Does the Race edition body kit affect Bentley's factory warranty?

Mansory body fitments do not, on their own, void warranty on unrelated systems such as the powertrain or infotainment. Suspension and brake modifications carried out alongside the body programme will affect the chassis-related portion of cover. We always recommend speaking to your authorised Bentley dealer before committing, and Hodoor can supply the necessary parts documentation to support that conversation.

What lead time should I expect for a turnkey Race-edition build?

Allow between sixteen and twenty-four weeks from order to delivery for a complete commission, depending on chassis availability and paint scheme. Panel-only orders for owners restoring an existing Race-edition car normally ship within four to eight weeks, subject to which specific moulds are running at the time of order.
