Mansory for Maserati MC20 — Mid-Engine Supercar Carbon Kit

Mansory for Maserati MC20 — Mid-Engine Supercar Carbon Kit

The Maserati MC20 marked a triumphant return for the Trident to the world of mid-engine supercars. Powered by the Nettuno twin-turbocharged V6 — an engine developed entirely in-house by Maserati with innovative pre-chamber combustion technology — the MC20 delivers 630 hp in a lightweight carbon-aluminium structure. Mansory has developed one of its most ambitious programmes for the MC20, available across three variants: the standard MC20 Coupe, the MC20 Cielo spider and the dramatic Mansory Widebody conversion.

Mansory's vision for the MC20 recognises the vehicle's dual character — a sophisticated grand tourer that can transform into a track-focused weapon at the press of a button. The carbon fiber components are designed to enhance both modes, providing improved aerodynamic performance at high speeds while maintaining the MC20's elegant proportions at rest.

Variations: MC20, Cielo and Widebody

MC20 Coupe (Soft Kit)

The standard MC20 programme — referred to as the "Soft Kit" — provides a comprehensive aerodynamic upgrade that enhances the Coupe's lines without dramatically altering its proportions. The front bumper, splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and fixed rear wing work together to improve the MC20's aerodynamic balance while adding visual drama. This programme maintains the factory body width and is designed for those who prefer a refined enhancement over a radical transformation.

MC20 Cielo

The Cielo programme adapts the Soft Kit for the open-top MC20 variant. The front and side components are shared with the Coupe programme, while the rear treatment is specifically designed around the Cielo's retractable glass roof. The rear wing is available but with modified mounting points that do not interfere with the roof mechanism. A unique wind deflector in carbon fiber is available exclusively for the Cielo.

MC20 Widebody

The Mansory Widebody is the most dramatic expression of the MC20 programme. Adding 40mm per side through carbon fiber fender extensions, the Widebody creates a presence that is unmistakable on road or track. The wider body accommodates a significantly wider wheel and tyre package, improving mechanical grip and visual stance dramatically. The Widebody programme includes all Soft Kit components plus the fender extensions, an oversized GT-style rear wing with swan-neck mounts, unique side air intake modifications and wider forged wheels. This is the Mansory MC20 in its most extreme form.

Aerodynamics and Performance

The MC20's mid-engine layout demands careful aerodynamic management. Mansory's front bumper and splitter assembly generates meaningful front-axle downforce without excessive drag, improving turn-in response and high-speed stability. Side skirt air inlets direct additional cooling air to the engine bay, supporting the Nettuno V6's thermal management at sustained high loads.

The titanium exhaust system saves approximately 10kg compared to the factory unit while providing a more visceral exhaust note. The valve-controlled system offers quiet cruise and full-voice sport modes. Power gains of 15-25 hp are achievable through the combination of reduced back-pressure and optional ECU optimisation.

Installation Notes

The MC20 Soft Kit and Cielo programmes are bolt-on installations requiring no structural modification. The Widebody programme involves fender replacement and requires specialist installation at an authorised Mansory facility. Standard kit installation takes 4-5 days; the Widebody programme requires 7-10 days for the complete transformation including paint finishing. All components are manufactured using autoclave prepreg carbon fiber technology.

Pricing

The MC20 Soft Kit (Coupe or Cielo) exterior package ranges from EUR 35,000 to EUR 50,000. The Widebody programme, including all body panels and wider wheels, ranges from EUR 65,000 to EUR 90,000. The titanium exhaust system is approximately EUR 16,000. Forged wheel sets start from EUR 9,000 (standard width) or EUR 11,000 (Widebody specification). Interior programmes are quoted individually.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upgrade from the Soft Kit to the Widebody later?

Yes. The Soft Kit components that are shared with the Widebody (front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser) carry over. The upgrade would involve adding the wider fenders, wider wheels and the GT wing.

Is the Widebody track-legal?

The Mansory Widebody passes standard road vehicle regulations in the EU when accompanied by the appropriate documentation. For track use, the wider body and improved aerodynamics are advantageous but separate track-day insurance may be required.

Does the programme affect the MC20's factory warranty?

Bolt-on aerodynamic components do not typically affect the factory warranty. The titanium exhaust and any ECU modifications should be discussed with your Maserati dealer. Mansory components carry their own 2-year warranty.

What are the weight differences between the programmes?

The Soft Kit carbon components are weight-neutral or slightly lighter than factory parts. The Widebody adds approximately 15-20kg due to the additional fender material, offset by the titanium exhaust weight saving.

Can I order just the exhaust and wheels without the body kit?

Yes. All components in the Mansory MC20 programme can be ordered individually. The exhaust and wheel combination is a popular standalone upgrade.
