This is the Mansory carbon wide-body conversion for the Land Rover Range Rover Sport L494 — the second-generation Sport, on sale between 2013 and 2022 on the PLA-D7u aluminium-intensive platform shared with the L405 full-size Range Rover. The kit dimensions to the L494 across the full production run including the post-2017 facelift; the third-generation L461 (post-2022) runs on the new MLA-Flex platform and uses a separate Mansory part-number set. This page is the L494-specific brief.
Sister Land Rover programmes: the larger Range Rover L405, the new Range Rover L460 (2023+), the older L322 Range Rover, the Velar, and the third-generation Sport variants — Sport SVR and Sport SV.

The third-generation Range Rover Sport L461 launched in 2022 on JLR's MLA-Flex platform — different architecture from the L494's PLA-D7u, and a redrawn body on top. Mansory's L494 kit was tooled for the older car and continues to ship for L494 donors in significant volume. Because the PLA-D7u uses an aluminium-intensive bodyshell, the bonded flare work uses an aluminium-grade structural adhesive (different specification from the steel-grade bonder used on Maserati or Mercedes donors) and benefits from prior body-shop experience on the L405 sister chassis.
The L494 wide build is a comprehensive carbon body conversion. OEM bumpers replace, OEM bonnet replaces, OEM fenders are cut back and flared. The build is permanent at the fender level.
Build time at a Mansory-experienced body shop runs 10 to 14 days. The L494's aluminium-intensive bodywork requires careful prep around the bonded-flare cut lines because aluminium expansion coefficients differ from steel; experienced shops handle this routinely.
The Mansory Powerbox is offered on the supercharged 5.0 V8 SVR donor only. Stock SVR makes 550 PS (early production) or 575 PS (post-2017 facelift) at 6,500 rpm. With the Powerbox plus matched sport exhaust the channel rises to roughly 625 PS — a +50 to +75 PS gain depending on the donor production year. The Powerbox is reversible. The supercharged 3.0 V6 donor does not get a Powerbox in the Mansory catalogue — the engine's tuning headroom is small at the supercharged-V6 state of tune. Owners of V6 cars who want power gains run that conversation through Land Rover specialist tuners (Khan Design, Overfinch) rather than through Mansory.
The matched fitment is the Mansory M-series fully forged 22" wheel in stagger sizing. The OEM L494 wheel ranges from 21" cast on early HSE trims to 22" forged on the SVR; the Mansory 22" forging trims roughly 5 kg per corner of unsprung mass against OEM cast 22". Diamond black, polished silver, gun metal and Mansory bronze are the catalogue finishes. The 22" forging clears the OEM Land Rover air-suspension envelope without ride-height adjustment. The wheel range lives at the forged wheel collection.
The kit fits the 2013-2022 Range Rover Sport L494 across all production years and trims:
The kit does not fit:
L494 owner geography is broad — the cars sold well across the Gulf, the UK home market, Hong Kong and the German-Austrian luxury-SUV cohort. Hodoor World ships pre-assembled crates with paint-pattern documentation and L494 facelift / pre-facelift fitment confirmation across the working corridors:

Will the kit fit my new Range Rover Sport L461 (post-2022)?
No. The L461 launched in 2022 on JLR's MLA-Flex platform — different chassis, different body. The Mansory L494 kit will not align on the L461. A separate L461 part-number set may follow when Mansory dimensions one; current L461 owners should check the catalogue periodically or commission a bespoke build through the Mansory Brand-Ambassador department.
Does the wide build clear the OEM air-suspension at full off-road lift?
Yes. The bonded flare geometry and the matched 22" forging are dimensioned to clear OEM Land Rover air-suspension travel through both standard ride and Off-Road Mode lifted ride. The OEM Terrain Response system and the OEM ground-clearance settings operate unmodified.
What does the Powerbox actually add to an SVR?
Approximately +50 to +75 PS depending on production year — early SVRs (2014-2016) at 550 PS lift to roughly 615 PS, late SVRs (2017-2022) at 575 PS lift to roughly 625 PS. Torque gains are in the +60 to +80 Nm range. The module is reversible.
Is the L494 SVR still serviceable in 2026?
Yes. The supercharged 5.0 V8 (the AJ133 family Jaguar-Land Rover engine) ran from 2009 to 2024 across multiple platforms — F-Type SVR, F-Pace SVR, Range Rover SVR, Range Rover Sport SVR. Parts supply through Land Rover dealers is solid and specialist independents service the engine routinely. The known service intervals (supercharger oil, spark plugs, timing chain inspection) are well-documented.
How does the Mansory L494 build compare to a Khan Design or Overfinch conversion?
The three programmes target the same chassis with different visual languages. Khan emphasises bespoke leather and detail trim; Overfinch leans toward subtle exterior changes plus interior retrim; Mansory's L494 brief is the wide-body silhouette, the M-series forging and the Powerbox tune.
