Maserati Levante Tuning Guide 2026 — Body Kits, Wheels & Performance

The Maserati Levante is the Italian answer to the Porsche Cayenne — and it got there first in spirit. A twin-turbocharged V6 or V8, Ferrari-derived engines, and a chassis that genuinely rewards enthusiastic driving. The restyling (2020) brought sharper styling and the 580hp Trofeo. The aftermarket is smaller than German rivals, but Novitec and TopCar have developed serious programmes. This guide covers every meaningful upgrade.

Model Engine Power / Torque 0-100 km/h
Levante 350 3.0 V6 biturbo 350 hp / 500 Nm 5.5 s
Levante S 430 3.0 V6 biturbo 430 hp / 580 Nm 5.0 s
Levante GTS 550 3.0 V6 biturbo 550 hp / 730 Nm 4.0 s
Trofeo 580 3.8 V8 Ferrari biturbo 580 hp / 730 Nm 3.9 s

Body Kits

Novitec Maserati Levante — Novitec is the premium Italian supercar tuner with a long track record on Maserati, Ferrari and Lamborghini. Their Levante programme includes a front aerodynamic splitter that adds genuine downforce at speed, side skirt add-ons that visually lower the SUV, a rear diffuser with integrated quad exhaust outlets, and a low-profile roof spoiler to tighten rear-end airflow. Both carbon fibre and polyurethane versions are available, allowing customers to choose between the lightest finish or a more cost-effective option. The programme is highly popular in GCC markets and Russia, where visual exclusivity on large SUVs is prized. Pricing: 8,000-16,000 EUR depending on material and scope.

TopCar Design Inferno — Moscow-based TopCar Design has built a dedicated wide-body programme for the Levante called the Inferno kit. It features a carbon fibre bonnet with functional cooling vents, a front splitter with canards, dramatically flared side skirts that add approximately 40mm to the track width on each side, and an optional rear wing for an all-out aggressive look. The Inferno is a statement piece — ideal for owners in Russia, Kazakhstan and the broader CIS region where bold bodywork signals presence. Pricing: 6,000-12,000 EUR.

Lumma Design CLR L — German-Swiss atelier Lumma Design offers a more restrained approach with their CLR L Levante programme. Front spoiler extensions, subtle sill trims, and a rear diffuser complement the factory lines rather than overriding them. European clients who value discretion alongside performance tend to choose Lumma. Fit quality is excellent, and the programme pairs well with OEM colours. Pricing: 5,000-9,000 EUR.

Prior Design PD Levante — Prior Design provides an accessible entry point into Levante aero upgrades with a polyurethane front lip and rear diffuser package. The kit is straightforward to fit and offers a meaningful visual upgrade without the cost of full carbon programmes. Ideal for owners who want the look without the premium. Pricing: 3,500-6,000 GBP in polyurethane.

Wheels

The Maserati Levante leaves the factory on 20-21-inch wheels. For tuning purposes, the ideal upgrade sizes are 21x9.5 ET30 and 22x10 ET25, paired with tyres sized 285/35 R22 or 275/35 R21 respectively. These fitments fill the arches properly, particularly with lowering springs or air suspension, and maintain a comfortable ride profile for daily use.

The Levante uses a 5x114.3 PCD bolt pattern — the same as Alfa Romeo Giulia/Stelvio, Nissan GT-R, and Hyundai/Kia performance models. This means a very large aftermarket wheel selection is compatible with the correct hub bore (110.1mm). Always verify offset carefully: too little ET and the wheel will catch on the arch liner; too much and the hub bearing load increases.

Recommended wheels:

  • Novitec NF3 — 22-inch forged wheel designed with Maserati proportions in mind. Deep dish, concave spoke design. Popular in GCC spec.
  • Vossen HF-5 — flow-formed lightweight wheel, extremely popular in UAE. Available in brushed titanium, matte graphite and satin black finishes.
  • HRE P101 — American forged one-piece wheel. Lightweight, minimal spoke design. Favoured by European enthusiasts for its clean aesthetic on luxury SUVs.

Performance

The Levante's engine range responds well to ECU calibration. The V6 biturbo architecture leaves significant headroom in boost pressure and fuelling from the factory, which Novitec, Wheelsandmore and independent remappers have thoroughly mapped.

  • V6 Stage 1 remap: 350 hp to 420 hp | 430 hp to 510 hp | 550 hp GTS to 600 hp
  • Novitec N-Tronic module: Plug-and-play performance booster that intercepts fuel pressure and boost signals without opening the ECU. Delivers +50-80 hp depending on base model. No warranty void, reversible in minutes. Ideal for lease cars.
  • Wheelsandmore full tune: Wheelsandmore offers a comprehensive Levante programme targeting up to 600 hp for the V6 GTS — including ECU remap, sport air filters, intercooler upgrade, and sport downpipes.
  • Trofeo V8 Stage 1: The 3.8 Ferrari biturbo in the Trofeo is well-understood from the Ferrari California T and Portofino. Stage 1 ECU calibration takes it from 580 hp to 650 hp reliably.

Exhaust: The Novitec Sport exhaust preserves the genuine Italian character of the V6 — a distinctive sound profile quite unlike German competitors. The Capristo valved system allows quiet daily driving with a switch to full sport mode at the touch of a button. Both are highly popular in UAE and Russia.

Interior

The Levante's interior arrives in premium shape from the factory, with genuine Pieno Fiore full-grain leather and Alcantara headliner options from Maserati themselves. However, the aftermarket extends this significantly. Novitec's Alcantara trim set covers the dashboard sections, door panels and centre console in Alcantara, while the Novitec carbon interior package replaces piano black inserts with genuine woven carbon fibre — a popular specification in GCC markets where piano black shows fingerprints.

Custom quilted leather packages from independent upholstery specialists are exceptionally popular in UAE, with diamond stitch patterns and contrasting piping in colours unavailable from the factory. The piano black-to-carbon fibre switch on steering wheel trim and gear selector surround is a common upgrade request — costs vary from 800-2,500 EUR depending on scope.

Track Day or Daily Driver?

The honest answer to this question depends entirely on which Levante you are starting from — and what "track day" means to you.

Track use: The Levante GTS and Trofeo are genuinely track-capable machines, not just fast road cars wearing a marketing badge. The Skyhook adaptive suspension tightens damping meaningfully in Sport mode, reducing body roll to levels that allow committed cornering. With a Novitec Stage 1 tune, the GTS reaches 600 hp and the Trofeo 650 hp — competitive numbers against a tuned Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Braking hardware on GTS and Trofeo spec includes Brembo callipers as standard. For track use, upgraded brake pads (Pagid, Ferodo DS2500) and high-temperature fluid (Motul RBF700) are essential additions after the first couple of laps, as the factory fluid will boil under sustained pressure.

The weight reality: The Levante weighs between 2,100 and 2,200 kg depending on specification and options. At a circuit, this mass becomes apparent: after 3-4 laps at full pace you will feel the brakes building heat, and tyre temperatures will spike on the outer edges. The Levante is not a sports car at a track. It is a very fast, heavy SUV that is entertaining to drive quickly — but it will not embarrass a dedicated sports car, either.

Daily driver: The 350 hp and 430 hp V6 models represent the sweet spot for daily-use tuning. Their ride quality is noticeably softer than GTS/Trofeo, and the Skyhook suspension in Comfort mode is genuinely plush over poor surfaces. Fuel consumption sits at 11-14 L/100 km in real-world mixed driving. Boot capacity is a practical 690 litres with rear seats up.

Verdict: The Levante is primarily a premium daily driver that enjoys being driven with intent. It is the perfect car for occasional track days at a club level — but it is not a circuit weapon. The transformation that a Novitec tune and Capristo exhaust delivers on a daily basis — sharper throttle response, improved mid-range pull, a magnificent exhaust note — makes those upgrades the most rewarding return on investment for the typical Levante owner. If you want to use it seriously on track, add lowering springs (-25 mm), upgraded brake consumables, and a wheel/tyre set for circuit use. Just accept the compromise on daily comfort.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Novitec warranty the Levante tune?
Yes. Novitec offers their own 2-year warranty on all N-Tronic modules and ECU calibrations. This is a manufacturer warranty from Novitec themselves, separate from the Maserati factory warranty. The N-Tronic module is fully reversible and can be removed before a dealer service visit if preferred.

What is the 5x114.3 wheel compatibility?
The Levante uses the 5x114.3 PCD (pitch circle diameter) bolt pattern — the same as Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Giulia, Nissan GT-R, Infiniti, and Hyundai/Kia performance models. This means an exceptionally large selection of aftermarket wheels are bolt-compatible. Always verify hub bore (110.1mm) and offset individually, as these vary between wheel manufacturers.

Levante vs Porsche Cayenne for tuning potential?
The Cayenne has a larger and more established aftermarket — TechArt, ABT, Gemballa, Mansory, and many others have dedicated programmes. The Levante is more exclusive by nature: fewer units on the road means a smaller but highly specialist tuning community. Novitec's programme is excellent and produces genuinely dramatic results. For a buyer who values rarity and Italian character, Levante is the more interesting choice. For maximum aftermarket breadth and resale value, Cayenne wins.

Can a 580 hp Trofeo be tuned further?
Yes. The Trofeo uses the Ferrari 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 architecture also found in the Ferrari California T, Portofino and Roma. This engine is very well understood by ECU specialists, and Stage 1 calibration reliably delivers 650 hp with standard hardware. Further increases (Stage 2 with upgraded turbos) are theoretically possible but rare and expensive given the engine's cost.
