Mansory Downpipe for Mercedes-AMG S63E

The downpipe is the section of pipework that connects the AMG biturbo V8's turbo outlets to the catalytic-converter block. On the OEM S 63 E PERFORMANCE this section is built around emissions and NVH compliance — the OEM downpipe carries the front catalysts, a small primary-pipe diameter, and a structurally-reinforced design that prioritises long-term durability and OEM thermal management. Mansory's performance downpipe replaces this section with a larger primary-pipe Inconel construction that opens the back-pressure profile downstream of the turbos. Combined with the Mansory Mafflers exhaust, this is the front-half of an end-to-end track-oriented exhaust system. Construction & Materials

Workflow: lift the car, support the OEM downpipe at the rear hangers, release the OEM downpipe at the OEM turbo flanges and at the OEM cat-block flange, transfer the OEM lambda sensors to the Mansory downpipe ports, swap the OEM downpipe for the Mansory pair, re-torque the flanges to OEM specification, transfer the heat-shielding to OEM hangers, return AIRMATIC sensor clearance to OEM. A 24-hour heat-cycle bedding-in period is recommended before sustained track running. Reversibility is full — the OEM downpipe can be reinstalled at any time without modification of the OEM turbo flanges or the OEM cat-block.
