The Hybrid Forged Process — How CVR1 is Made

Concaver's Hybrid Forged technology combines the design flexibility of casting with the structural integrity of flow-forming, a process borrowed from aerospace manufacturing. In the first step, a specially prepared cast face is mounted onto a flow-forming drum and subjected to intense heat. In the second step, high-pressure rollers apply force as they travel down the barrel, stretching and compressing the material to achieve the desired width and density. In the final steps, the barrel reaches its target geometry, resulting in a uniform grain structure aligned along the stress lines of the wheel — significantly stronger than a cast-only alternative. The finished CVR1 is then powder-coated in one of five standard finishes or prepared to your custom specification.
